Roping Season Ends in Style!
Once again, as in the first series, the final day of roping was intense, tuff and high-grade. Both the heading and heeling champion spots were up for grabs with several ropers close in the rankings. All teams had to stay focused and make every run count if anyone was to separate themselves from the pack.
The race for the heading saddle was narrowing down to two leaders - Joe White (#3) and Charisse Nauyokas (#5). Joe cinched the saddle with winning the average in the Number 10 and also the 8 Incentive!
Though at the start of the day, no clear leader was a shoe-in for the heeling saddle - the match was heating up between two number #8 heelers - Cole Cooper and Berdell Greenhalgh. Though Berdell won the first and third holes in the Open, and the third hole in the Number 12, Cole moved ahead in the money with his win in the Number 12 after taking the second hole in the Open.
THANKS to all the ropers for a great turnout and fun end to the season! Hope to see everyone next year - keep your horses legged up if you can this winter and rope the dummy!
