Lonnie Aragon - enjoying a day off from work at the USAF Academy and roping on "Rico", a mustang trained by Lonnie and owned by the USAFA

Lonnie with Cassidy James of Grand Junction and her Book Cliffs mustang, "Peaches" - Cassidy and Peaches were super ambassadors and had way too much fun riding all day!

Lonnie with Tamar Clarke of Delta and her big, blue-eyed mustang "Lobo" - Tamar and Lobo also showcased a mustang's good nature by quietly loping circles while guns were blasting close by!

All the Presenters of the Open House were wonderful and shared great information!

Mounted Shooters of America gave a super presentation and explained alot about the sport - way too fun!
on right - Team Roper Vinton Cannon entertained the crowd when he bravely tried his hand at Mounted Shooting!

The quality of roping was great all day! In the Open Pick/Draw, 9 teams came back in the short go in a race to win the 5 head average! Here are just a few shots of the ropings! - photos taken by Jim Medford
